Motherhood is an incredible journey filled with anticipation and excitement. As an expectant mother, capturing your unique journey is a meaningful way to document and remember this special time in your life. Motherhood photos are a perfect way to celebrate the beauty and joy of your pregnancy as well as your journey into motherhood.

In this post, I’ll explain the different stages in which you can have motherhood photos taken.

Maternity Photos

Indulge is some YOU time. You have been on an incredible journey already and deserve some time for yourself before the journey continues.

Maternity photoshoots are the first and foremost part of capturing your motherhood journey. These photos are usually taken in the final weeks of pregnancy when mothers are at their most radiant.

Maternity photoshoots range from designed shoots in studios to outdoor shoots in scenic natural settings for an empowering experience.

Newborn Photos

The arrival of a newborn is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that every mother cherishes. Capturing this experience through newborn photography is a beautiful way to remember this special time. Newborn photography requires careful planning, patience, and creativity.

From capturing you and their tiny hands and feet to their sleepy faces, every moment of your newborn's early days is precious.

At home sessions are perfect for these photoshoots, meaning you don't need to leave home and disturb your new way of life.

Motherhood Photos

You deserve nothing more than to be photographed after giving birth with your baby.

You'll be feeling the need for some self care time and this is the perfect opportunity to be the focus with a pampering and relaxing few hours dressing up and showing off you and your new baby.

Family Photos

Capturing the entire family in the motherhood journey is a great way to document the transition into parenthood. Family photoshoots can involve the entire family, including siblings and pets.

Family photos can take many forms, from candid shots to stylised portraits.

Milestone Photos

As children grow, parents often like to document key moments in their development. Milestone photoshoots involve capturing special moments such as the baby's first steps, toddler to teenager! And other developmental milestones.

These photos serve as reminders of how far your child has come and capture the joy of parenting.

The Graduation Photos

Eventually, your child will reach another stage of growth and development – graduation. Whether your child is graduating from preschool, high school, or college, capturing these moments will be important in documenting your journey as a mother.

Generation

And don't forger the generational photo. If you are fortunate to have members in your family to create your generational image, seize the opportunity!

You'll all realise the legacy you've created between you - a very special moment I can assure you.

The different stages I've outlined above provide unique opportunities to capture the fabulous, incredible journey of motherhood.

Regardless of the stage, the most important thing is to cherish and document your journey as a mother.
